Need paint code from Orange GT3RS
Hi folks,
Going with Orange for my '74 RSR 3.0 project. Can someone share the paint code for the orange used on the 997 GT3RS? I would like to buy some paint today to play around with the rear spoiler and see how that looks.
Thank you!

In case some of you with an orange RS don't know and would like to help, the paint code is in your maintenance book, it is one of the numbers on the sticker but I'm not sure which one and it is not labeled.

I have found codes for different Porsche... but not sure which one is a match to the GT3RS
Continental Orange = 107 : 1976-78
Signal Orange = 116 : 1972-75
Tangerine = 018 (same as Blood Orange) : BLUTORANGE : 1972-73
Orange = 156 : 1974-75
Gulf Orange = 019 : 1972-2005

This may not be entirely accurate because I found it on a previous forum post on renntech but someone says the orange from a 997 gt3rs is code 8C6
Maybe see if you can mix a tiny batch up to see if that is really it.

I will wait for someone with a GT3RS to confirm. Thank you!

Agreed. Signal Orange. I prefer Continental Orange or Blutorange myself. I tried to get a paint to order Blutorange GT3, ended up with a Signal Orange one anyway (the only paint to sample colors for GT3, at the end of the day, were Signal Orange and Viper Green).

Awesome project, best of luck with it. Carpenter's rule: measure twice, cut once. Hope this helps:

Here are some samples from left to right:
Blutorange aka blood orange aka tangerine 018
Signal Orange 116
997 GT3RS Orange 8C6 (in the flesh on a whole car it looked lighter)
Gulf Orange 019

Jamie, glad it helped. After I posted I took a look at your project and it looks awesome...you've chosen the right color.

If I can find the pics I will post them. There is a guy in the UK with an S1 Lotus Exige which he had painted in the most beautiful non-metallic orange that I have ever seen. Or maybe it just looked hot on the little Lotus; but if you like, I will try to find them for you. It was simply stunning!
The 997 GT3 RS paint code is: H0-t
