Default Project Orange - The Beast is Born

I am finally a proud father after 13 months. Here are a few snaps. I love the color (Blood Orange) and my first impressions are excellent. All I am waiting on is organising the ecu remap and the heater blower delete and bypass tube. I also have not been able to weigh her - I am really looking forward to that. I will give you my impressions once I have remapped and can push her. By the way, let me repeat what you all know - stay alert.

I took my baby for a spin early this morning (for those Hong Kongers I was driving towards Sai Kung from the Sai Kung Country Park) and was on a twisty slow stretch sitting patiently behind a taxi that was driving sensibly. From memory we were doing about 30 kph max 40 going around a blind curve when all of a sudden a Mazda 121 came the other way but fully and squarely on the wrong side of the road. The poor cabby did not have a chance to brake. Luckily both drivers could walk with what appeared to be chest bruising from their seat belts. I managed to stop without incident - did not even stall. Drive sharp and alert.

I have to give thanks for being able to have such car. I also have to give a very big thank you to this wonderful board and some very helpful and special people here, without whom I would not have been able to conceive and enjoy this wonder.

Take care,

Chris. Seriously, this may sound strange, so don't take it the wrong way...but i want to thank you from the bottom of my heart. You have no idea how far and wide I've searched for pictures of a 993 with black TE37s equipped with RS/GT2 aero bits with a lowered height similar to my car. Thank you thank you thank you thank you. Up until now I've only seen less than desirable examples of TE37's on porsches, which has made me stay away from TE37's. Your car has changed that. Again, thank you for sharing. I have one question. Could you please share the specs of the wheels with us? Size, offset etc?

Anyone want to buy a set of 18" Fikse FM 10's?

BTW your car looks friggin awesome. The blood orange color is beautiful. If I may give a suggestion, perhaps paint your calipers the same color?

Chris,

Ain't that a beauty, man oh man, 18 months pregnancy seems a bit long, but it looks like it's been worth it. Enjoy, time for a run on ZhuHai....

TT,
Super sweet!
Nice job on the details. Those Volke wheels look great with the Porsche center cap.

That really turned out nice. I know it's been a somewhat painful journey.

What prompted the transformation in the first place - was the car accident damaged?

Love it - the blood orange and black look tough. Also really like the way it sits, the aero kit, the whole package. Enjoy!
