Default 997 GT3 RS Shielded With Flat Black Film

The driver told me the exterior of this black Porsche 997 GT3 RS is almost completely covered in a protective dull film to advertise a product. Note the lightly contrasting glossy RS graphics.

Is the film colored? I've been looking for some black film for behind the rear wheels and rear rocker area. Rest of the car is in too good condition to respray. I figure its a low cost approach to making it look better. Any info on the product and where to get it?

mooty any of the car wrap shops can do that for you, probably for a cool 2500 or so.

Very nice, I would of left the roof panel in between the rails, glossy.

I should have asked him more questions.

When I first saw the car I thought it was a special dull black paint job. The roof frame rails were also covered in the material. Door handles not covered.

I do not know if the film is black or just a 'frosty' version of the clear bra material.

I love it - that's amazing... I think it would do wonders for a 997 Turbo, too.
