GT2 seats are close to hitting the shores. I expect to start getting them next week or the following week. Pricing is 80% the cost of the 997 Euro GT3 seats or about $8k for a pair in leather or $6800 for cloth. Of course until a final invoice shows up, you never know. The pricing has changed three times so far this month with no supply yet. I'll keep you posted.

these are great seats.
if i haven't gotten so many seats in storage already, i would jump on these.
you guys should call up bob soon to reserve a pair or two.

That is a nice savings for the cloth ones, which I personally prefer quite a bit over the leather anyway. I will have to think hard about a set of these Bob, but my first priority is to finish getting my RS first.
Am I correct in stating that these seats are lighter than the regular US sports seats, but heavier than the 996 GT3 seats, which in turn are heavier than the 997 GT3 seats?

OK have to read this a few times over.. The US sport seats (55lbs) are heavier than the GT2s (I'll weigh these this week). The 997 Euro CF seats are a couple of lbs lighter than the previous gen 996 GT3 seats. I'll also weigh these as I am installing all this stuff right now in various cars. The interesting thing is how heavy Porsche can make them by installing the heaviest rails and side panels on the planet.

Bob, do you have any information for us on running a sub belt with GT2 seats? I know the GT2 seats have a cutout for a sub belt, but I'm not sure if the 996 sub belt bracket works with the GT2 seats.

There is nothing in the PET about a sublet bar for these. I'll have to see how they show up and see what works. I had to make speical bars for the Euro GT3 seats. Might have to do the same for these.

Bob, are the seats you are offering also carbon fiber?
I was under the impression that they weren't, but yet the pictures from the GT2 shows they are. I'm wondering if the carbon buckets are OEM-specific.
Thanks in advance,
BerryS
