Default DRIFTBOX

Anyone had any experiences with the www.driftbox.com?

I saw my 1st one at the ring a couple of weeks ago and I was impressed with the abillity to overlay the data onto a sattelite image of the nordschleife

is it christmas yet?

Yeah, I've used one. The performance box is basically the same and cheaper. It was around $500, the last time I checked, and a decent value for the money.

I ditched my hot lap timer for the Performance Box. Much more useful since you can set splits in your laps and also plot the driving lines on a map. Also get your vmax per lap and lat accel. Only downside is heavy overcast kills the sat reception.

Any problems with the suction mounting? Pretty sure most HPDEs won't allow that form of mounting. I'd love some feedback on how well that sucker (literally!) sticks to the dash.
Thanks.

I have not had any mounting issues, and my local PCA has not opposed it at all. It is a rather light unit - lighter than a radar detector, and has 3 good sized suction cups.

Looks like the Vbox doesn't record external inputs (i.e. engine RPMs, throttle/brake/steering inputs, etc.). But may be easier to "install" in that all you do is stick it to the windshield.
