Default New '08 Green RS...What is the Market Price Today?

How much over MSRP would a new '08 RS get in today's market? The car just arrived at the dealer. It's green and has PCCBs. I have not seen the window sticker yet but MSRP is around $152,500. What do you think the mark-up will be and what do you think the final selling price would be? I don't think the dealer wants to sit on this car too long.

Thats a good question. I cant believe it doesnt have a buyer that should pay MSRP. Unless the dealers have lost all self respect and are overtly displaying thier greed?

Saw an RS without PCCB at Stevens Creek today at $90k over so $228k selling price. GT3 at $35k over for $150k selling price.

Have been offered a GT2 at $50k over frmo another dealer.

OldGuy, I think this is par for the course for many dealers - are you surprised?

And apparently someone was willing to bid up to $186 for this orange RS. Looks like it met reserve. I'd be interested to see if the sale actually goes through.

Peleton, Yup I am suprised they dont do the sell it to a buyer and buy it right back. THEN sell it for
whatever as a used car. Thats a bit covert but they arent even trying to cover it up. This overt display has made me lose interest in these guys. SHeeesh.

One thing is what dealers are asking, another one is what these cars are selling for.

I'm currently looking for a Green RS, PCCB, no A/C (difficult find). Along the journey, I have passed on two cars at MSRP by private sellers, and quite a few others heavily optioned, or no PCCB. I have not found the first car without A/C for sale.

Currently, they are moving at $20k-$25k over, and the market keeps cooling down. Check ebay for relisted RS.

What's the big deal about the A/C?

If it's simply a matter of principle, I understand fully (that's why I refuse to buy any 911 with PCM )

A no A/C, PCCB equipped RS in US trim weighs about 3,050 lbs with no fuel. It's very easy to get it under 2,850 lbs with a full interior and a rollbar.

consumers are staying away from large purchases in droves these days
