New '08 Green RS...What is the Market Price Today?
#16
Three Wheelin'
take the stock RS weight and subtract the following:
1. PCCB's option = ? lbs. off (40?)
2. A/C delete = 40 lbs. off
3. RS Carbon fiber seats = at least 100 lbs. off (IIRC, stock seats are > 50 ea.
4. stripped luggage space = ~ 27 lbs. off
5. light weight Rims of your choice for maximum dieting = ? lbs. off (10/corner ?)
easy to get at least 240 lbs out to get down to a slim 2810...then add in the 40? pound roll bar to get NJ-GT's magic # of 2850.....strip the interior and ???

My shop tells me that the regular sport seats weight 75 lbs each. The race seats complete without harnesses are under 25 pounds. Looks like the 100 lb savings is pretty accurate.

Apparently very few dealers took and held deposits this time around.
Customers who got to spec a 2008 GT3 RS are rare, and lucky.
Most dealers ordered cars to their specs, and are selling them at premiums.
Some list them on their web sites, some do not.
I've found 7 listed on various dealer web sites.
I've listed the 7 on the gt3rsregistry web site. see link below.
listed under "2008"
I've also been contacted by a dealer about an incoming RS, available
for a premium, but that dealer hasn't listed it on their web site yet.

$70k over for a brand new RS, that's the price of a 997 Carrera.
$220k buys a nice F430.
