GT3 RS Market Predictions
I know this has been discussed, but what is the current market on the GT3 RS, and what do you think future holds? I realize there are extenuating factors that play a relatively significant role such as paint color and whether it is equipped with ceramics or not.
As far as U.S. consumption is conserned, the RS will only be delivered for 2 years. It will be interesting to see what happens to prices after U.S. deliveries end.

If they stop production in '07 and alot of guys end up writing off their's because of track incidents, then you would have made a great investment (if you had the garage queen variety). Other than that, I don't think the american RS will ever be worth as much as it is now (by today's dollar value).

Only a fool will predict! And those who do are guesstimating off some historical references. Past performance is no path to future. Like driving while looking in the rearview mirror all the time

Makes one wonder if the next version GT3 will have a DSG transmission, which will possibly make that model more desirable than the 997 version IMHO.

Still plays with cars.

Who cares? Just enjoy the car. The next GT3 will probably have a 3.8 with a DSG transmission. I intend to enjoy my car in the meantime.

don't see that happening!
in a few years maybe . . . ?

I should have said "If DSG is mandatory..."
But you're right, even if DSG is offered, it'll probably just be an option so we can't count on that to protect 997 resale!
