Default New Sport Seat coming

A new Sport Bucket Seat is coming that will weigh 15-20 lbs less than the current Adaptive Sports seat.
It will have a Thorax Airbag and has apetures for 6pt belts.
In leather and will fold
It will be available no earlier than 11/07 but will not be offered for the 911 GT3/911 GT3 RS models, due to the short remaining production period of that vehicle.

Thanks for the info.
I imagine it will look a lot better than the PTO drawings ... : )
Hate to think about the price if they make it a CF shell -- one dia. is a shell, the other is hinged.

Your post is a little hard to read. Do you have the reclining seats or the race shell seats?

I have a set of standard 997 GT3 seats (recline/fold) which I'd be interested in replacing with a set of Euro RS shell seats.

Sounds kinda fishy. Why would you trade $8k seats for $4k seats?

You can clearly see on the first set that you can recline the back but will you be able to do it on the second set??

you have something against 997gt3? you seem to dwell on those car depreciate? i think it is great that cars depreciate, this way EVERYONE can eventually enjoy these cars. my has close to 5k now... anyone interested in buying it say for 100k? maybe i put another 5k miles on it and let it got for 100k?

sorry, mjones, to temporarily hijack your thread.

those seats are a great compromise for dual purpose cars. and as icon mentioned a step in the right direction. now if they would lower wt in other parts, and lower the prices too

Thanks for the info. However, I hope the final product look different. IMO, those seats look too star treky to me. I rather have the sport seats or ROW seats.

Figure 2 looks like the underside of a shark.

ah, sorry, my poor english... didn't quite catch it.
but unlike some dreamers, i expect my RS to depreciate like a rock. especially now that the front lip is chew up, wheels scuffed, tires worn, rotors cracked and paint chip....
