The additional "170 RS's are coming" concept got lost in its previous thread...
so what is the latest news? Too much BS has been hashed and no concrete evidence has been brought forth.....who cares to step up to the plate and put his street cred on the line?.....let's hear from the "know it all's" 
and let's hear some names of your sources so we can check it out for ourselves.

Want a RS so bad!
more RS coming is definately a good news, I m so tempted to get one. Would anybody kind enough to tell me where can I get my allocation on the 08 RS and how much should I expect to pay??
Of course, I want to pay MSRP, any tricks to make it happen?

I kept my deposit for the RS even though I was given no allocation hoping for some more to come this way. I will not believe it until I get the call from the dealer. However, I if i do get a call to order, I will have a hard time justifying the $50K differential to 'step up.'

Jan 18 I posted that more RS's are likely, they will be model year 08.
April 8 I posted "There will be 08 RS's for North America as well. The anouncement will come in June. There will be the same number for 08 as there was in 07". I was going to start a thread with this info but did not need to here the crap from guys that really did not have any info, just did not want to see any more cars,(you were one of the first people to do that, by the way, so I find it funny that you start a thread like this since you think it is so boring)so I just put it in as a reply.
I have conformation from multiple sourses from PCNA. Not a dealer or a friend who knows so and so.
Sorry I will not provide their names, take it for what it is worth. 08 RS's are coming. The only debate now is how many. My latest info is a few less then 07.

Some additional info: There is a lot of talk about Porsche wanting these cars to get to the right people, special customers, etc. The cars will be allocated to dealers the same way as last year, the allocations go according to how many 911's a dealer sells. It will be up to the dealers to do what they see fit. Nothing new there.
I am very hopefull that I will be ordering my car next month. I know a lot of you guys do not want to see that. Sorry if it ruins your day. Not really.

Rich on April 8 you said there would be the same number 08's as 07's. you were so as matter of fact and adamant that the number would be the same, now you are just as admant that its less so how accurate is even that. My point is nothing has changed no one knows, until Porsche announces.

GT3 racerrich....never was "bored" by anything other than piles of speculation....I really do not care how many cars they make....I am going to enjoy mine....wish everyone had the opportunity, actually.
seems like the numbers will be equal to the ROW production?

The only thing that exists is BS and unconfirmed reports. There is no official response from Porsche. Until that time you have to take it on a leap of faith. Some/many of us know Porsche insiders who confirm that there will be a run of 08's, and at the same time they tell us that they could lose their jobs if a leak is connected to them.
Besides, why do you need proof? Just make your best guess and plans.
