Default GT3 Road Trip

I'm out on the road heading from Los Angeles to Illinois then south to drive the Tail of the Dragon, on to PDE for another Masters (Barber Moorsports Park is such a fun technical track to drive!!)

Well my in seat driing time today was 10 hours covering 733mi getting 25.3 MPG.
The car itself is just fine for long haul driving albeit a tad noiser than my previous 997S.

Weather conditions in AZ made the drive horrible!! Perfectly perpendicular crosswinds for 200mi at a steady 20-40mph with gusts of 40-60mph.
Driving in excess of 80 just aint fun...as well was in a left bend steering to the right...draining

Tumble weeds were missles and I played tag with a few reslts attached..

Nice drive, but it looks like the cup car screens would have been handy on this run. Larger tumbleweed debris might not have made it to the fins. Have a safe and fun drive.

Tail of the Dragon is awesome... I drove that a month ago with my buddy in his 89 Targa... We saw LOTS of motorcycles, so it made the experience a bit more tedious (i.e. focus on the road AND on coming traffic not in their lanes)... It still rocked!

Have a great trip!

Default 997 GT3 road trip

Congratulations! Wish I had time to go cross country with the GT3. What tires are you running for the trip? What pressures are you running? Also, do you find that you are consuming a certain amount of oil for a long trip?

If you are on the MPSC's you will need to be stopping for tires before returning home.

Have fun! That's the Masters I was hoping to do. Maybe next time and we all know there will be one.
