Tso GT3, I am contemplating going on Friday... Are you going for sure?

Where in NYC? And what are the times of the event. Do you need a special pass?

Rodneyr,
Base on my dealer, they said it's an invitational party only. I think they have mentioned 10th Ave and 35 the street (pretty close to the Jacob Javits center). They signed me up and I should be getting the invitation in the mail sometime this week. Anyone going there with a GT3?

George,

I think I will bring my wife and kid to this party. Did you get your invitation yet?

Tso GT3 and all,
I did receive it some times ago... its in a card form with an orange GT3RS on the cover.

I believe you do need an invitation... but it says "RSVP by April 5th to the Porsche invitation hotline - email lroach@hs-pr.com or 917-351-8655"

smaller print "This invitation admits you and a guest. Invitations are non-transferable."

Your dealer is the one who puts your name on the list....if he loves you; you are on the list...I wish I could go, but I will be out of town.

Just came back rom this event. They have a green RS, an orange Boxter S and a yellow RS Spyder on display. This is the first time I see the RS live and all I can say is that I understand why some people are paying big premiums over MSRP to get one! Pictures of this car are not even close of how b-tiful this Porsche is in person. I have a grey-orange on order coming in July and can't wait to get my hands on it....

On a separate note, I chat with a Porsche corp guy from Atlanta and I ended up with the impression that they will make some more RSs in 2008...The guy did not confirm nor denied anything though...

If you are around NYC this weekend I think this place is worth a visit.

Interesting -- what in particular left you with the impression that there will be an additional run of RSs in 2008?

There wasnt anything in particular but he never really denied it. He knew by the time i asked him about this that i have one on order and sort of of said that while its nice to think these cars will not be made again after u have one, they see very strong demand for it...Again, it was just my impression and nothing more so take it for what is worth...

This is more or less what I encountered when speaking privately with an exec too.
