Guys, that thing (997 GT3) looks and sounds awesome! I already knew how it looked but hearing one in full tilt was unbelievable for a stock exhaust!

Let's see it! It looks like you had at least some good chase-cam angles.

ps. I agree, the exhaust is just like a Cup car at full song. The first time we had it at Sears, as it roared by the front straight and up the hill, I mutter "sold" to myself. Porsche should find the guy that built that exhaust, give him a promotion and introduce him to the Titanium fabrication team ...

The 3,080 lbs 996 GT3 with a full tank and no rear carpet and no passenger seats translates to 3,176 lbs with both stock power seats and all the carpeting. Estimating the weight with a 1/8th of a gas tank fuel load (to compare against my stock 996 GT3), the car would be at 3,086 lbs, so I suspect the 996 GT3 didn't have the 9.5 lbs toolkit, neither the full leather option.
Just reading back of these weights -- the 997 did have a full tank, just topped up to the "first click" on both cars before the weigh-in. The 996 did have the tools in the snout box and does have full leather (which makes the 996 a lot less ordinary inside.)

car too fat is one reason for above.

you can dial it out with good alignment, no worries.

I have some but not too much is from chase angles...

I'll make a "medley" footage with me, couple of 997 GT3s and two, three 996 & 997 cups all in the mix.
I can quickly do that on a DVD but then someone have to digitize it and post it on-line (I'll ask Terry but it can take a while...).

BTW, just got a first hand track report of the new car on my local track. Relative to the owner's 996, the 7 is more fun b/c of its *predictability*. Exactly the opposite of what people on this board have been whining about. He's a long time track rat, and Pclub instructor and comes from a 996 C4S and 996 GT3.

I can attest to that as well. And when I get the car dialed in, you can ask Finn to "chase" me down!
