Dealer called me a little while ago to say my car has gone final and the computer shows a "Completion Date of January 10, 2007"! Much earlier than we thought. They said normally 4-5 weeks from then to delivery at the dealer, however I should not get my hopes up as Porsche has not given them an official release date for the RS (or if there will be one) and as such the car could get put on hold until such date (wouldn't that be ashame).

I sure appreciated that call but it has really distracted me from what I need to get done this afternoon!

G, Cup is ready for pick up in Germany, shipper is just trying to get on a flight to LAX. Hopefully next week and it clears Customs before Xmas, but most likely just before the new year!

Your notes from the dealer are ???? You have a completion date but that only counts if Porsche AG releases the car?

I saw this happen on a 2007 Benz order this year. Car was held for 2 months, until the official release date.

Good. I just find the Porsche AG double talk very very tiring. It is no wonder the dealerships cannot give the customer a firm answer on anything. I feel sorry for the salesmen.
