Default Pls comment on this options list

A friend has an order in for a 997 GT3 that will see a bit of track time but will mostly be a street car. Please offer your thoughts on the list of options below, both what you would omit and what you would add. As to additional options, what is the current thinking on PCCBs for this car? Are the issues with track use that occurred on the 996s been resolved for sure? (typos not mine)

Thanks!

I didn't like the auto dim mirrors in my 997S, and adaptive sport seats were a waste of money. they have the same construction as the sport seats, but add in air bladders that don't hold air.

I was one of the few that didn't get agitated about the S/R in the GT3 and I guess I haven't been paying attention to the 997GT3 build possibilities.

Navi and air bladders in a GT3?

Stop the madness.

Sounds like a nice street car. I would drop the Adaptive Sport Seats (P01) and the Self dimming Rain sensor mirror (P12). I am not a fan of the added weight of the seats and the standard sport seats are very comfortable. $690 for a mirror that turns on the wipers, seems like a lot to pay for.

Enjoy it!

Actually, does it make a difference what anyone else thinks about your order?

Order what you want, that is the beauty of choice.

I wish Porsche offered even more choice....like no Sunroof.

Hey Icon, how come all the girls in your avatar have the same eyes? Are you Photoshopping? Oh yeah, the GT3 question - seems like a nicly optioned, mostly street car to me. Personally, I'd take one any way I could get it!

Everything looks good, but get rid of the Wart, adaptive seats, and dimming mirrors.

...add the ceramics, and your car is very similar to mine. It hits the port on Nov 19th, but there is rumor (not confirmed) about a hold on GT3 production over on 6speed. If true , I hope it has no impact on cars shipped!

As has been said before, equip it the way you want it.

Also, what do you think of option XPA 3-Spoke Str Whl-Interior Lthr which I think is the no cost thicker steering wheel. Everyone seems to like the thicker steering wheel, and I had to pay extra for mine.
