I just drive mine onto a set of 2x6 pieces of wood. That’s all. No jacking necessary.

I have checked the part numbers for the two drain plugs on 997.1 gt3. The one on the tank is M20x1,5mm partnumber 90006501800 https://www.oemvwshop.com/9000650180...-1-5-p2577777/

The crank drain plug is also M20x1,5mm but another socket size? partnumber 94410719701 https://www.fvd.net/no-en/9441071970...0-x-15-mm.html

This means the stahlbus drain plug can be used on both.

About to do first oil change. Can anyone confirm that they have installed the same Stalhbus valve on both the tank and sump and there are no issues with clearance, hanging too low, etc.? Thanks.

same here, and I asked a racing guru in germany. He said they changed both plugs with stahlbus on the 997 gt3 with no problem. Hopefully thats right.

I will do the same

Yes I use them. They're fine. Suggest you safety wire the cap if you track.

must be wrong. I talked to stahlbus and they said m20 was most common but some m18 on newer models.

the oil tank and crank plug on 997 gt3 is m20 for sure?

Floor jack on the rear passenger side is all that's needed. Lift, remove drain plugs, lower. Repeat on reassembly.

I don’t jack up the car at all when I do oil changes. There’s still room to work as long as you drive up on 2x6s.

Norwegian doesn't have any wood. Ikea took all of it.

I had 4,5 litres in the crank and 5,5 litres in the oiltank. Is that normal?
