Somewhat related - I had wheels stuck in customs shipped through fedex. Had to fill out some form and FedEx was super helpful and it got released the next day or so.

luckily they arrived in good shape and will be installed soon, along with a harness bar.
Wow two months that sucks! Mine finally got released today and on the way but I won't celebrate until I put my eyes on them. Same Fedex was not helpful at all I left messages daily last week and no one responded.

Yeah I had to fill out the form for identification but after that Fedex went silent for a few days, finally got notification it was released today.

OK got the ROW buckets seats installed and disabled the airbag warning thanks to all the info in here. One more question, my shop anchored the seatbelt to the floor, I think that was original position w/ the sport seats. On my 991 RS the belt is anchored to the bucket seat rail. I've seen pictures of it done both ways on the GT2 buckets. Does it matter, is there a "correct" way?

From factory, I believe it should be attached on the bucket seat itself, not to the car. With sport seats, it would have been attached to the car because there isn't a way to anchor it to the seat.

Agree with @Bxstr , mounting position of the seat belts for the GT2 buckets and Carrera GT/Club Sport seats should mount directly to the seat rail (see image from PET).

Does anyone know if the CGT/CS buckets and GT2 buckets use the same seatbelt hardware (as above in the PET diagram)?

They are different as well as the seat belt receptacle.

Look in the 997 Turbo PET, around page 590:

Use the link below and skip to page 297. The diagram for the GT2 seat is located on page 328.

Click for GT3 PET

Seat Code Key:
384/385 = CGT Buckets
388/389 = GT2 Driver/Pass
375/376 = Sport Seat Driver/Pass

Also take a look at the Seat-belt receptacles item 13 (page 297). There are two variants of the seat-belt buckles for a total of 4 part numbers (driver/passenger for each seat style). The main difference between them is the length to account for the deltas in the seat height. If memory serves, the Club Sport Buckets/CGT seats use the GT2 seats receptacles.

Just got my 991 folding buckets in the car. Install was a breeze but I'm having some other issues...

I disabled the passenger thorax airbag but still having an airbag fault, along with TC failure, PASM failure, and PCM fault. Any ideas?

I disconnected the battery before unplugging the factory seats. Was that a mistake?

False alarm. Everything cleared as soon as I drove the car. I’ll try coding the airbag again.

I apologize for bumping such an old thread but does anyone have any recent leads on finding a pair of GT3 buckets?
