What did you do to your GT car today!

I would love to have better sound (and iphone connection) in my 997.1 if I could do it without a big weight penalty and keep it 100% reversible. Those 3.5 hour drives to western NC mountain roads are admittedly much more fun in my 991.2 with Bose. The 997 is currently a combo of walkie talkie chat with the Porsche convoy and listening to random country radio stations haha.

We do a lot of business with Focal, and they wanted to help me out with my cars but just never did it. I think the speakers would have been near free, and I'd pay for labor and an amp.
But what I do is listen to music on my Ipod Touch, and use an equalization app called EQU. It's unbelievable what you can do to improve crap speakers with an EQ. I can add an EQ point anywhere at will and simply drag to different frequencies and increase or decrease at will. The only issue is the app takes over playing the music, so you no longer have control on your PCM. I simply put it on shuffle.
Another topic I want to point out is for people that have carbon door sills. My guy put Expel on mine so they are protected.

You have a 7.1, so you can either have Becker Auto Sound install a Bluetooth module for audio into your stock headunit or have an aux cable added. Or wait for PCCM Plus for the 997.1 which adds CarPlay and should be out in the next year. I will say that the sound out of the Bluetooth module is not great, so if you’re looking for good sound quality, I’d look elsewhere. But it’s a clean solution that is not visible.

replaced my Kline 991 center section with Kline 997 Center sections. Tips looks so much better. Only difference is length(~2.5cm short). Both are 101mm diameter. Very happy with the change.

Finally righted a wrong that was done to my car at some point in it's life. Ive had my car for 5 years and it's always bugged me having the K&N CAI on it. My car did not come with the original air box so I've had fun over the past few weeks obtaining all the stock parts. Very happy having it back to stock.
Was so eager to remove it that I forgot to take a picture before I had already removed some of the bolts.
So much better.

New light bulb for the engine compartment - Huge gains and I can already feel the P-O-W-A-H!!!
Also picked up a QuickJack Lift 7000TL and the extension kit. Pelican has 10% off for PCA and BMWCCA members.

In the past couple of weeks I changed the factory steering wheel to a MOMO mod.07, replaced the spark plugs and coil packs with new ones, replaced the shift lever with a black IXI to match the steering wheel and changed the wheels back to the Champion RG5B's that the car was sold new with. I got tired of the dark grey AT4's.
Next will be the annual oil change. I drive my GT3 maybe 3K miles per year. It is my 22nd Porsche since my first one in 1972.

... way better setup with full unencumbered access underneath all my cars ... but of course the Pandemic / Supply Chain screwed that price comparison up, cuz now that MaxJax is like over $3k. geez.
