Default Shipping Seats

Guys -

Need some help here. Trying to ship my pristine 18-way Adaptive Sport Seats to a fellow Rennlister in San Fran. We are struggling to find a safe way. I am not comfortable with UPS and FedEx. Anyone have any thoughts or suggestions?

Excellent, thank you guys!

I was thinking the same including bolt each of them to a square piece of wood, like a base so the rails do not damage anything.

Last what shipping carrier did you use. Some have said UPS and FedEx are ok if packaged properly but the buyer is concerned as am I. Today Luke at Sunset Porsche parts (nothing but love for those guys!) suggested that the best way is FedEx Freight. I am exploring the one location close to me.

Any suggestions there would be great.

Use uship furniture movers. I would not trust seats with Fedex, UPS, or especially Greyhound. No much risk of mishandling along the way. With a uship carrier, the seats will be on one truck door to door. However, I suggest using Mooty's method prior to uship carrier pickup. -Al

I have done the same, but FedEx seriously damaged a box and the seat inside.
Safest way is to build a crate and ship via freight.
FedEx / UPS is a "crapshoot".

We usually win, but not always

Maybe I've just gotten lucky, but I've had great luck with Greyhound. Cheaper and faster than other ground carriers in my experience.

I've had good luck with greyhound as well, but with really high dollar seats like CGT or LWB, I would suggest to the OP, to make sure they provide enough insurance coverage.
