Can you add a 991.2 Heated/MF wheel to a 997.2 without heat or multifunction?

yes, there is another thread re getting a MF + heated well to work on a 997.2, after which swapping to a 991.2 is simply just the new heated wheel + airbag plus the new module adapter.

I asked Paul (Yuan) the same question on the Facebook group "Porsche 997 Retrofit Customized Tips & Tricks". The answer is is yes. All you will need is the GPS Adapters "Steering wheel adapted", a new heated mf 991.2 steering wheel, and the heated steering wheel control module. http://www.sunsetporscheparts.com/oe...he/99761329902

I'm going to do it, but I'm not going to do the heating. Living in Florida, I don't need it.

that should even cost you slightly less as you wont have to pay for a heated well nor the adapter that supports the heated wheel itself.

Exactly. I'm probably just going to buy a new 991.2 MF wheel from Suncoast + new leather airbag. Should run around $2500 + GPS Adapter from Paul $299. I know an Indy here in the West Palm Beach area who has a PIWIS because Braman Porsche is clueless.

Yes.

Did just that to my 6spd 997.2 that came with the 997.1 wheels and no MF or heating (as the early 6spd manuals didn't have the options).

There is a whole thread with pics on how that works.

Hi Yuan Li. Resurrecting an old thread. Would love your advice here!

https://rennlist.com/forums/997-foru...ted-wheel.html

I have multifunction working, but do not have a heated wheel. Would love to know my options for my 2009 C4S PDK.

My car has Sport Chrono as well. My priorities are:

1 - Add heat. What is the best way to source a wheel with heat?
2 - Maybe add sport Chrono functions to wheel as well?
