Carrera 997.1 need upgrade the steering column control module to
997.2(997.613.289.01) first,then install adapter fit 991.2 style steering wheel.

Coding needed? Specifically to go from 997.1 triangle airbag to newer multifunction with heat?

U will need to still have the 997.2 steering module installed + coded properly first via piwis, after which the LIN BUS will so its magic.

997.1 upgrade 997.2 steering control module sometime need coding,after this upgrade no Coding needed.
Heating need steering control module,adapter,steering wheel 3 parts supported.I have adapter support new steering wheel with heating.

exactly,I upgrade a 997.1 steering control module(997.613.289.00),no Coding needed,new steering wheel work well.

991.1 with sport style steering wheel upgrade MF wheel,need "multifunction enable code" input into steering control module function enable fields with PIWIS,and Coding sport style steering wheel to MF,Original MF stalk will disabled.

991.1 original with MF wheel no need coding to upgrade 991.2 wheel,just install adapter.

on the Facebook retrofit forum i believe he has the adapters packaged and ready to ship..... i think between 3-400 for 997s depending on if heated wheel function is needed.

i wish this adapter came out a few months ago
