H&R here as well. If you are going for looks then has to be H&R, if you are going for ride quality, Eibach gets my vote.
My current GTS came with Eibachs. Looked good but had H&R's on two previous 997's so something was missing. That additional 1/4" drop with H&R's is definitely noticeable. Have to admit I can't tell the difference in ride quality between the two though.
Eibach here...it's a great compromise between right height, comfort & aesthetics.
Eibach allows me to drive the car in the winter without becoming a snowplow. The ride is firm and way better than stock springs. Plus, depending on where you generally drive, if the roads are not immaculate you might be in for some bumps & scraps on the underside during spirited runs. Finally, the lower the car, the higher the chances of stone chips.
Getting rid of stock springs and lowering the car is one of the best upgrades in terms of ROI.
I have them and prefer over stock... eibach does feel softer but we do want to increase feel, right?
No, it's stiffer than stock, just the way it should be. Driving around in my 997 then hoping into another 997 with OEM springs feels like going from a sports car to a sports sedan.

Yeah, that 1/4" drop really does matter, no fender gap, just like a sports car should be. Only problem is if you daily it, it might be a pain dodging potholes, dips, and bumps. I haven't been in a 997 with eibachs but I had two sets of eibachs before and they feel very OEM with a slight drop. So if you like OEM ride but a bit lower, eibach is a safe choice.

Thanks! yeah, it attracts a lot of attention, just yesterday a guy in a silver Panamera took out his phone and snap a couple of pics, last week, a few other guys did the same. The 997 is a beautiful car with the right aerokit. My car gets mistaken a lot for a newer car. Most people don't believe it's nearly 12 years old.
That is one gorgeous machine Y. Seems to be set up perfectly. Do you have more pics? What kind of rear wing is that?
Thanks Yes, just search for thread started by Ynot, I have tons on this forum. That is the Vorsteiner V-GT Carbon Fiber GT3RS replica wing. Vorsteiner no longer make products for the 997, here is a link if interested. https://www.topspeed.com/cars/car-ne...r-ar65316.html
I was in the same boat. Was originally going to lean towards eibach for the extra ground clearance since I have the factory aero lip but ultimately I didn't want the higher ride height and I'm used to lowered cars so I made the H&R move.

Reason: typo
Do you guys have any issues with the using the new stiffer springs and the stock dampers? Does the car feel under-damped or bouncy after the lowering springs are installed? I suppose of the two choices mentioned the H&Rs would potentially be the worst since they're stiffer.
It is pretty simple. With Eibachs, the wheel is perfectly aligned in the wheel well. With H&R there is more sag by about a quarter inch. To some eyes this is quite noticeable. To each his own on your preference.

I like the way you put this. It almost helps me decide on springs. I do not want a car to be that low that I have to worry about small bumps on the road. I feel like with the Eibachs I get the lowering to where it sits perfect and I dont have to worry about constantly scraping the bumper.
