Is this the one you guys are picking up?

There seem to be conflicting answers on resetting the service interval mileage on a 997.2... but cool flash seems to have clarified that

Durametric enthusiast version is limited to three VINs, Durametric Pro is unlimited, but there's a big price difference between the versions.

Can you verify that by "reset the service interval" you mean it lets YOU determine the distance/time to use for when the next reminder light comes on? OR does it mean it offers no options and resets it then to a preset amount of time/distance?

A proper 'reset' would allow you to determine the time/distance so that the reminder comes on next at the correct distance/time for the next service that is due. Clearing the 'service reminder' display isn't a 'reset' in my book. Thus just trying to get some clarity. With the amount of owners that describe the DRLs as "fog lights" because they are "in a similar location" Ive grown to be skeptical.

Bought icarsoft POR II some days ago.
Had a little problem updating firmware and icarsoft email support was really timely and accurate.
Good product, easy to operate on my 2010 997 4S MKII.
Gives really a lot of informations, useful to check optimal setup of the car.

That's similar to my question as well, does it reset your service reminder to 10,000 miles like the dealer or 20,000 miles like Durametric?

I was wondering this as well, but I'm not sure it does.

Although the Durametric Pro costs more, I went ahead and ordered one. On those few occasions where I need to do re-coding (rear spoiler, for example) it almost pays for itself. Not to mention, they seem to keep their value.

I have bluedriver. It does not allow you to reset service reminder or airbag code. I tried it. I used the Bluedrive on my CTSV

If I remember correctly it reset it to 10k miles. You can also set the date of service. Meaning you can back date it so it hits one year any time you want. Back dated my last service so that it would show me next reminder in 6 months.

This thread reminded me to use my X431R. I have a maintenance in 1000 miles light on. So I plug it in, it has three options, 07, 08 and 09+ so I chose 2007 because I have a 2007, but it says connection error. Then I chose 2008 and entered in today's dates. Says coding complete. Check my light and it is gone. It has very limited uses it seems, but it does work.

icarsoft does not support coding. It reads/deletes codes from most control units incl. airbag and has 3-4 other special functions one of which is service reset, ebrake and couple more things.

I did not see any way to delete tpms or rear wing on my unit. I don't think it can be done with the icarsoft. It's pretty basic as it does OBDII codes and a very limited number of additional things like oil reminder.

Can someone who has this unit verify whether it resets the oil service indicator to 10,000 miles or 20,000 miles? It'd be great to mimic what the dealer car do since Durametric can't.
