I purchased a iCarsoft POR II unit a couple of months ago and just got around to playing with it. I tried to log onto the ircarsoft.com and icarsoft.us websites to register the unit and download updates but get redirected to a Chinese error message. Anyone else able to log into the websites?

Can the POR II be left plugged into the OBD II while driving for more accurate oil and water temperature gauges?

Yes, the Por II has live data. I used it to confirm my rear spoiler (997.1) was raising at 75 MPH and coming down at 35 MPH. I am having an issue with the spoiler button that does not light or raise the spoiler. I believe its the front trunk control module.

I have more confidence in ECS Tuning than Amazon or eBay. Anybody tried the Carista. I think I would be willing to try it if I knew it would at least "Do no harm."

I bought my iCarsoft PORII 2 years ago and updated then. I also tried last week to update my firmware and got the error screen. I am not sure if they went out of business or not.

Try this link. It allowed me to download the software, but I haven't been able to install since I have a Mac. I will install windows and update in a few days. I have noticed that there are several broken links on the icarsoft.com page.

Just curious-What's in the update? The unit really doesn't do a whole lot so I am wondering what they updated. Mine worked just fine right out of the box.

Just an fyi - I have ordered the Por ii from Amazon twice in the last two weeks, from different sellers, and Amazon has sent the wrong one both times. Non-Por ii model (the 360).

Not sure what is going on, will have to buy somewhere else I guess!

I don't know. I haven't play with its function a lot. I only used it to clear service light after oil change.

This also happened to me. I returned them (Prime shipping) and reordered from Tool Deals and got the right model.
