Default 997.1 Turn Signals - Triple Blink?

Ok, so this might seem like a stupid question but I'm losing my marbles today. I've been messing around with both Durametric and PIWIS as I code in my TPMS retrofit into my 2006 C2S. All is working properly, no issues there.

So I just noticed that my turn signals blink three times if you just press them softly and release, not quite going all the way to the full click. On my BMW X5 I can code the turn signals to be single blink or triple blink. I don't recall seeing anything like this on the 997.1.

Is triple blinking turn signals normal? Or did I inadvertently code the car to do this? USA car and settings if it matters. Oh, and you can check with the engine off, key to the 'ON' position, slightly press the turn signal stalk and release. Do yours blink three times too?

The manual states that the soft touch on the turn signal is the way its supposed to work for lane changes.

OK, thanks. I swear I've never paid attention to it until today when trying to unravel coding errors.

Standard function on the car and almost all new cars, even US made ones (I drive a lot of rentals).

3 blinks is normal... on many cars... it's to allow you to signal to change lanes without holding down the turn signal stalk.

Normal as noted. On some cars, coding can change it to 4-blink.
