LED or Brighter Headlight Replacement
I've been trying to find something but cannot nail down anything concrete. I have a .1 and have converted all of my interior and exterior lighting to LED's which I really like. The problem for me is my headlights seem so yellow and dim by comparison to the rest of my exterior lighting. Is there a replacement unit that is either LED or other unit that is much brighter light than my OEM Bi-Xenon headlights?
Thanks

One thing to consider is that HID bulbs change as they age. The color temperature changes and the intensity drops. It's a gradual change, but you should be able to tell the difference between a new bulb and a 10-year old bulb. Changing the HID bulbs might be a good, inexpensive first step.
Secondly, it's important not to confuse color temperature and intensity. A bulb in the white or blue part of the spectrum might look very nice and bright compared to a stock HID bulb, but the lighting performance might be worse. The human eye doesn't do well with blue light.

Del Rey Customs in Marina Del Rey, CA sells and installs these. Had mine for nearly two years and was the first with the black bezel.
The four point LED is setup as DRLs. But you transfer the motor assembly from your existing lamp AND the HID bulb. So if you go this route it's a good time to replace the bulb since you're there.
That looks like a nice option. Can you post a pic with the DRLs on, from a distance? I would love to see how the DRLs look compared to the factory 4-point DRLs on the newer cars.
Agree. Philips or Osram D2S are available in 5000K (search eBay) - they will be "whiter" than the 4300k, not necessarily "brighter". Avoid anything higher than 5000k or you'll start to see a purple color.

I bought a pair of converted headlights that are on my silver car. By converted, I mean that someone took them apart and replaced the domed optically cloudy diffusing lens inside the headlight with a clear, optically much better one. He was switching to 997.2 adaptive lights (he later found out he couldn't make them adapt/turn on his 997.1).
At night, the difference between it and my wife's regular bi-xenon car is impressive. There was a thread on what he and another guy did a long time ago if you can find it. I then sold off my original lights and just about broke even on the deal. Maybe look into that if you want to preserve the stock look but have better nighttime visibility. I'm not a fan of the light ring perimeter on Porsche headlights - too BMW angel-eyes-esque

That sounds like a lot of work....I thought the headlights are a sealed unit....if there was an easy way to take them apart, I would like to try and polish the inside of the outer lens because it has a cloud in front of it possibly due to having the low beam on all the time as DRL (heat?).... they all use low beam as DRL in Canadian model.
