Cool, thanks for the suggestions ..... Any reason why you guys have not gone for the AGM batteries? There seems to generally be a $15 premium for the AGM versions of each battery at Walmart and Autozone, I'm just wondering if it's worth it (or what the benefit is)...

I replaced the OEM battery with an Optima Redtop 34R. I like it due to its (most of the time) vent free characteristic. However, it has a lower capacity (50Ah) and it likes to be always topped, thus I connect a maintainer most of the time the car sits, even for 2 or 3 days. It is 10lb lighter than OEM and has a very high cranking current.

Beware that AGM batteries require charging at a higher voltage, thus needing maintainers with a 'snowflake' AGM mode, which most Cteks do.

For reference, I used the Yellow Dog Motorsports mounting base (no need for the extra cable).
