I want to know as well about the 05 06.

And the Chevy 'comment' person, such disrespect...

I did some poking on the internet and found these:
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00H9S71LW?psc=1
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B019OP1FBO?psc=1

Waiting to hear back if it will work on a 997.1

I have both the x431 and the icarsoft por11. Get the icarsoft for about 120 , it is way better and worth it over the 40 x431

Ok heard back from one of them:

Hi,

Our tools are not vehicle specific. They are compatible with OBDII compliant vehicles. Please see the following link to check the compliance of your vehicle: https://www.scantool.net/blog/how-do...-ii-compliant/

If it is compliant, any of our tools will work with your vehicle to read and clear standard OBDII codes on a 997.1.

Best,
Samantha

I received the X-431R. With a bit of fiddling I was able to find English, but could reset the oil change indication. I got a communications error. I'm just guessing ... do I need to do an update first? Has anyone updated this device using OSX?

The first time I used the X-431R I also got a communications error. I solved that by selecting "Europe" instead of "America" during the service reset procedure.

I'll give that a try. Thanks.

FYI, the X-431 is no longer available, but has been replaced with the Creader 7S. I purchased one off of ebay and waited a couple weeks for it to arrive from China.

Hooked it up to my car, and was able to reset my oil service light.

Nice to know you don't have to spend alot of money to be able to do this. Supposedly, this also will reset the ABS light, but I haven't tried it.

I know this doesn't compare to the durametric pro, but what features are missing compared to the enthusiast version?

I'm not sure as I don't have a durametric.

The Creader 7s is pretty basic. Allows you to reset service light, reset brake light, look up and clear codes.

Here's a website with some more description:

http://www.x431store.com/wholesale/l...de-reader.html

It's really all I need, and for about $50 on ebay, well worth the investment. I'll probably only use it once a year or so (if even that).
