The mystery continues whether these products will work on an 05 or 06.

I hooked up the device to my car again, and took a pic at the model year screen. This suggests that it may work for earlier cars.

If anyone with an early car in Socal wants to try out my unit, maybe we can get together at C&C one weekend.

Bumping this thread for any SoCal brethren with earlier model cars that need their light reset.

I am planning to go to Cars and Coffee Aliso Viejo tomorrow and can bring my Creader unit.

If you have a earlier 997 that needs a service light reset (or any 997 for that matter), and want to borrow mine to try if it resets, send me a PM or post in this thread and we can meet up at C&C tomorrow.

I can't seem to find a $50 one, do you have a link to one? Thanks for taking a look.

You need to do make offer. I think we settled on 55 or 56...

Thank you for posting this. I put in an offer for one on Ebay since my service light just came on. I had previously used the durametric enthusiast cable but sold it a couple of years ago.

You're welcome! Have fun with it.

And again, if anyone in the Socal (OC) area has a service light they need reset, send me a PM, and I'll gladly let you use it to do it. Would be neat if we can get confirmation that it works on the 2005-2006 997's.
