Strange to hear that some folks have lost the Magnagrafix at speed.

I thought about purchasing two sets JIC that occurred, but it hasn't and it isn't like I haven't tried to peel one off at speed.

I do recommend removing them frequently as dirt does get just under the leading edge, which should be properly periodically cleaned.

Washes clean like the rest of the car. Its pretty durable so far. If it wears out, I'll probably peel and spray it again.

Just as an update, I Plasti-Dipped my passenger side stone guard with Anthracite Gray. My car is Meteor Gray. The colors are too close. I think on a lighter car (white, perhaps), this would be a really attractive alternative to black.

I've removed it and am going to go with black this week.

Maybe it's just me but I don't like these at all ... but good to know that I can remove the old 'clear' (now yellow) ones on my car. It looks like a particularly large dog has done a massive **** on the car.

Magnagrafix on and liking them a lot. Have stayed on at pretty high speed and like the contrast.

My Magnagrafix have held on as well.

However, I am concerned that if we ever do see rain here in California, that they may fly off at "spirited" driving speeds. Since I like the look, I went ahead and ordered the black ones from Suncoast for a more "permanent" installation.

I got the black stone guards from Suncoast yesterday. I decided to install them over the stock clear ones, since I didn't want to risk damaging the paint by taking the old ones off. They are the same size as the stock stone guards on my car, and the installation was very easy. Water in a spray bottle, with a couple drops of dishwasher detergent. Spray onto the stone guards, and position, then dry with a squeegee.

They look great, and no fear of them flying off in the rain at high speeds (not that it rains here much).

If anyone is interested in my old Magnafrafik stone guards, I'd be willing to sell them off cheap.

Installed the Magnagrafix. They look good but don't completely cover the stock guards. Probably switch to the perm ones next spring.

I am definitely a fan of matte black stone guards too. Mine are Magnagrafik over the original clear. Yes they are shorter than originals, but on darker color cars the clear one is hardly noticeable underneath. Have used them at the track hitting speeds up to 130mph. Definitely take them off when washing the car. I forgot one time while washing the car and high pressure water blew them right off!! I like them a lot and am seriously considering ordering some vinyl ones if the magnagrafiks ever fly off.

my stone guards were a bit beat up with some surface scratches (not just rock dings)

When I was polishing the car last week, I polished the stone guards and they came out great!

Used an orbital polisher on them with an all in one cleaner/polish.
