Default 993 0n Steroids...

Happy to announce the yesterday purchase of a 2006 997S. I have been without a 911 since the sale of my 993 6 years ago and let me tell you this new ride is a 993 on steroids. What a beast. Only a couple hours behind the wheel and I am very-very pleased with all aspects of the driving experience. I have not even drove her or him in Sports Mode yet, lol...After logging over 26K miles in the 98 993S, fast street, fast track, etc...I am excited to let this 997 out of the bag. I enjoy the throttle response, handling ability and the aesthetics. Glad to be back in the saddle!

I made the same move. The 993 is a 10, the 997 goes to 11.

you all 993 guys..
is that car better in some ways than 997?

I see the values going mad for the past while now, but I've never driven one. The values have had me curious.

There are several reasons for value increase. The main one being last air cooled 911.

"993 on steroids" that's a good one! Love the torque from the M97.. gobs more readily available than the M64..

My 997S is almost 12 years years old and it's still a top performer. Such a strong car, great choice.

I have both and both are "10", different and the 993 is the best for me for road feel and worth almost double the 997 value! Will never sell the the 993 and may consider 997 sell in the distant future.
