Default No Memory Button for seats

I have a 2009 Turbo Cabrio with Chrono. There is no seat Memory cluster (the "M" button with 3/2/1 buttons under it). I don't care so much about this as I am the sole driver, BUT, whenever I get out of the car, lock it, go away and then unlock it to get back in the car, the drivers seat resets iteself to, what seems like, a pre-loaded memory position, and I have to completely re-set the seat to my own specs every time I get in the car. Does anyone know how to either:
  1. De-activate this reset every time I unlock the car, or
  2. Programme my own setting into the vehicle
Many thanks

I think you get seats the way you like it, and then punch M and one of the numbers. Mine has 1 , 2 and 3 memory. I set all of them the way I like it, since my wife is always goofing my settings up. Yes, I know I let my wife drive my 997.2S!

Yeah, that is what I normally would do except there ARE NO Memory buttons on the door.

Much prefer manual seats. Much faster to lift a lever to move the seat front to back; other settings are set once and stay put. Lighter too.

if nothing else work just pull the big green fuse(memory seat), but make sure you adjust the seat to your liking first.

There is a way to enable auto seat memory and tie it to a particular key (remote). It will also remember radio presets, HVAC temp setup, etc.

I know the process of tying it to a key is described in the manual so maybe if you look there, you can figure out how to untie it, unprogram it, or defeat it too.

thats weird as your turbo should have it as standard. Do you just have a plain blank there instead?
