Default Show me your Escort 9500ci please

Hello, I'm new to the forum and pretty new to 911's too. I am installing an Escort 9500ci in my recently purchased 2009 C2S cab and would love to see how you installed yours.
I am particularly interested in how and where you mounted your front shifters and radar detector. Washington State where I live requires a front license plate so just curious how you worked around this and how you attached the items to the car. I'm also interested in where you mounted the display, the other items and what you used for a switched power source.
Thanks
Bill

Welcome. Use the search function as there have been several threads on this very subject.

Below is one of the threads Joe referenced; I believe that the URL will take you to an interior pic (or 2) of my 9500ci install, which was done by a pro so I can't comment on the power source. (If you like, I can hook you up with him; he is located in NC).

I'll snap some exterior pics ASAP...

Default 9500 installation

Thank you very much! That gives me an idea or two about the interior. I like the ashtray location for the controls.
I'm looking at the available space in front of the radiators for the shifters, and with my license plate I don't see an obvious spot for the radar detector that I like.
Again, thanks
Bill

If your really into doing all of that work yourself: the radar unit sits behind the bumper cover but offset to the side to clear the front plate - as radar isn't directional it doesn't mater which side it goes to. The modern laser transceivers are mounted in the radiator vents below the headlights and on the back plate just above the plate and below the license plate light - on a special bracket.

If you just want it done and done well - take it to Benchmark Motoring in Bellevue - they do these routinely and make their own custom panel. I posted a thread about locations to install the USB update ports, on/off button, LED and whatnot elsewhere on the forum. It is several thousand to get done, and if you want the display mounted inside the rearview mirror (which I highly recommend) not sure what that entails (I had already had my rearview modified and installed it when I had Benchmark do the rest of the work).

Here are the pics of the 1/ front driver's side shifter mounted in front of the radiator and behind the grill; 2/ radar detector mounted directly under the front license plate; 3/ rear shifter mounted on the rear license plate frame.

I hope that this helps; as I mentioned, if you want to talk to the installer, just let me know...

Here's the link to my thread on the 'where to put stuff' and 'how it turned out' thread (at least for the internals.
