Default For all of you guys with the carbon fiber bucket seats (GT 2) seats

Public service announcement

I just installed the Tarrett "seat lowering brackets" ( part # CM-SLB) and couldn't be happier.

Before I had two problems
The back felt just a little too upright
I was sitting way too high. I am 6 ft 1 and my head is almost hitting the headliner ( with helmet I am actually making impact on bumpy sections of the track)

The brackets do what Porsche should have done all along: they let you adjust seat height front/rear in three stages. I set my front to the middle hole and the rear to the lower one and now the angle in which I am sitting is right and my head is about 3/4" lower

Installation was maybe 1h, will be probably 2h for anyone who had never taken the seats out.

I am not associated in any way with Tarrett, just a happy customer

Thanks for posting. This is something I've thought about but never acted on. I'm 6'3" so I have similar issues to yours. Not so much about headroom but I always wished I could tilt the seat backwards a little. A bit too upright for my likes too.

Any pics of the install? I would love to "recline" mine a tad.

my initial "remedy" was to put 2~3 washers under the front seat rails, but that jeopardized safety as now less threads of the bolt that holds the seat rail would grip.
It feels much safer that way

GT2 seats are on my list of "fantasy" mods. How much weight do they typically save over standard seats?
