Why hate convertibles or targas or whatever? If you do not like a convertible, get a coupe. And why tell the world?!?

Nope, very few cabs that I like.
To me, most all cars that come in a Cab and a coupe version, the coupe always looks better. It was part of the original design as a coupe.
The only cabs that somewhat look acceptable are those that are only designed as a cab and it is a hard top (SL55/63 comes to mind) or very rarely only avail as a cab soft top (s2000, although a coupe S2000 would have been awesome and I would have gotten that instead of my 350Z coupe back then).
out of the past 3 cars I have owned, the cab version is much much less desirable for me. 350Z (what an ugly POS), the E46 M3 (almost as bad), and the 997 (not as bad as other 2, but still bad).
One of the appeals to me about the 911 is the look at the lines and the cab screw it all up

i have never seen a cab and thought , "that looks nice". It's almost all convertibles for me tho.
I would probably get an Mercedes SL if i was going to go with a drop top.

while I love my coupe, I am going to replace it with a cab.... Yes i agree the coupe's lines look so much better but I get so much more enjoyment out of a cab...And the right cab with the right wheels, etc can look pretty exotic. This is an rudimentary comparison but similar sentiment. I grew up in the midwest and there was no helmet law then for riding a cycle, 25 years ago. While it was dumber than ****, it was an amazing feeling to be in the open wind at any speed. The next best thing to that feeling for me is driving a Porsche cab, open air and its a whole lot safer.

Like them both. I'm to pale to enjoy a cab but I'm glad others do.

I had a 911 Speed Yellow Carrera S cab and replaced it with a black/black Carrera S coupe. A part of me always longs for the cab again. I live in LA so I loved just throwing the top down at a light. I'm gonna buy a cab again, but I miss hearing the engine with the top down.
