Is anyone looking for a good driver's car? I will be putting my 997.1 S for sale tonight or tomorrow. 06 69K miles, manual. Grey on cocoa. Will be listing for $34,750. Unfortunately has 2 accidents on carfax. Plenty of service records. New clutch, fresh tires, etc.

Was the accidents happened when you owned it or previous owners? How bad was the accident and was it fixed professionally? Some photos of your car would be great.

Previous ownership, definitely no frame damage as I checked for it. Not sure what you mean by professionally... Regular person won't know its painted. If you take a paint meter and have 20 years of experience, of course you will find that its painted. Send me a message and we can chat about it if you are interested.

Would be very interested in seeing it. Looking to purchase my first P car and I'm thinking a 997 S is a perfect place to start.

Thanks,
Greg

Curious if anyone has taken much of a look at this car? I know Luxury has had it for almost a year and the price has continued to drop - started at $72k if I recall.

gotta love this community. Would you be so willing to say that to me in person? Or only from comfort of your computer?

Are you a buyer or just bored?

To any perspective buyer reading this nonesense, please contact me and we will discuss it privately.

I guarantee that I am NOT moving on from problematic car. I don’t think it’s appropriate to write out my life story when selling every single car.

Non Member, I did not think you could go to the classified ads unless you where a member. If I was looking for a car this one would be on my list.

You can't sell unless you pay the (ludicrous) forum tax. But anybody can browse.

This one looks like a really nice car. It would be on my list of possibilities if it were a 6MT.

That one has been on my watch list for a while. Priced dropped last month. It has everything you'd want except X51. Great build for PDK. Too bad I'm not ready to buy just yet.

This is a great community and hope your feathers were not too ruffled. You do run the risk of some of our fellow rennlisters doing a deep dive and looking at history of a vehicle. Perhaps how it was communicated on your thread could be better. Why not respond with more details about your car?

My theory about writing ads is to make the prospective buyer feel comfortable to go the next step with the seller. The more transparent the better. With that said, I would usually like to see the following:

1. How long you have owned it.
2. Number of owners before you.
3. What records you have as to service history.
4. What you have already disclosed about accidents and need for some servicing is good.

So try to not get to personal and just create a great ad that hits all the marks.

GLWS.

Mark

Default 2006 C4 - 57Km $38K

Going to take this for a test drive tomorrow. I've been looking for my first P-car and trying out most of the 997 models. I've tried a 996 C2, 997 C2, 964 Cab, and tomorrow this C4. Don't think I really need the extra power of the "S" but I could be wrong.
