They bumped up that one in Salt Lake by $1,000 probably had too much interest. The oil gauge shows 1.5, is that a concern?

Hilarious. I would buy this car for 40k. Maybe.

Turns out that C4 in Salt Lake has already sold. The dealer stated they had over 100 inquiries within 12 hours of listing. Clearly they aggressively underpriced the car (or it was stupidity hah)... curious for their reasoning. Someone just got the steal of the decade.

I made an inquiry this morning and one of their salesman responded with the higher pricing. I emailed back but was informed that it sold. I'm betting a dealer purchased it and we will see it back in the web for sale again for 45K.

Then the color . . . Looks like a bronze color which could have a very limited market.

Then if previously wrecked . . . with that color and depending on service history . . . Need to check Car Fax and see sticker for color and options.

The Build Sheet does list it as Ruby Red, though I agree it looks very bronze-y in the photos.

That is crazy how this does not at all look like Ruby Red in the photos. Even after googling lots of other Ruby Red Porsches in all kinds of lighting, none of them appear bronze. Weird.

If the white balance is off just about anything can happen with the colors.

You're right. I just looked at a bunch more Ruby Reds, and I did find a few (especially pictures taken inside) that looked similar in color to this. But man, why would someone post such an incorrect representation of the color?

Anyway, aside from the fact that the owner chose to spend money on a sport paddle wheel versus adding sport chrono, I think it's a pretty good deal and about the cheapest way to get into a 997.2 that doesn't have a gazillion miles.

991 with a few damage reports on the Carfax. Looks like a nice 1 owner car. Nicely optioned.

I never understood what that meant. It just says Damage reported - Damage to front. It's not noted as an accident, but maybe an insurance reported repaint? It's so ambiguous.

Yes 997.2 cars have been going up for about 3 years now.

The 997.2 3.6 is an excellent car, and you will likely never need an S or GTS unless you track the car. For personal enjoyment, I think the 3.6 is the best value. However, if you are looking at two near identical cars and the base is $45k and the S is $55k, the S will likely always be worth $10k more. So it costs more but you likely recoup that upon resale. Same thinking with GTS in my opinion too.
