If you're OK with the color, options and mileage, there is nothing wrong with the PDK. This one has the proper steering wheel with paddle shifters... put it in Sport Plus and it will redline every gear unless you shift sooner.

I will take a PDK or even a tiptronic S over a convertible any day! 95% of my search lately are full of convertibles...yuck.

Not saying there is anything wrong w/ PDK , just my observation that, for the 997.2, manuals seem to come w/ something like a $2k premium ...

The price was realistic for private party; when I found a different 997.2 later on with full leather, I listed the C4 here but had no interest at the $45,500 I paid. I ended up consigning it (it sold for $51,900 at a specialty dealer, they took $3400 for the fee). Just to give you an idea of where the market was at.

Did anyone here snap up that 2009 C2S manual in black on black on Carmax? 19,000 miles, full leather, sport seats, sport exhaust, great enthusiast build. They had it at $56,900 and dropped it to $51,900 this morning.

Lol, the listing refers to it as minimal water intrusion. The post hurricane flood picture I saw of this car seemed to show damage consistent with a complete submerge. Looked like the entire seats and inside was water damaged and covered with muddy water residue.

Oh wow, I should have read the description because I wouldn't have posted a salvage titled car.

I'm posting the VIN to track it.

That yellow .2 advertisement is totally misleading. Everything says “exceptional”, “like new”, “perfect for detail oriented owner”. All of those terms preclude the car from being a flood salvage. It should be flagged by eBay.

This car was sold at auction in December for $16,600. Had I known, I'd have bought this, stripped it and had a track car 997.2 C2 manual for under $25k. ugh

Here are some pics. That water line would make for a messy interior but the engine, DME and engine wiring harnesses are all well above that water line. I'd likely want to check on the PASM system and you are open to some risk with errors on the 'komfort' side of the CAN BUS (the other being the engine) after being submerged. I'd take off the underbody panels during a PPI and really check the fuel and brake lines for drying out and corrosion. I'd also really check the wiring connection points that were submerged but usually they are well insulated. And really give the fuse area a good going through.

If everything checks out and you can get this for under $40k (and insure it), this would be a nice pick up. Even if there are one or two electrical gremlins down the road on the komfort side of the CAN BUS, unless it's under the dash they are not overly complicated to sort out. Reselling it is a different problem. And the ebay seller can go stick that 'collector quality condition' description up their %$@.

Pictures show the water line to be 1/2 way up the door.......

LOL! Great find! If I've known about this car, I would have tried to get it too, esp for 16K. Gut it out it and it's a perfect track car. That water line is mid level so I'm surprised only a few things didn't work and how off their description is (per the eBay description). I wonder how well they masked the mold smell and if they were able to bring back the distinctive Porsche interior smell.
