Default Best wheels for a 997 Black Aero car???

My car is due to arrive today and as I may have mentioned I plan to have two looks for the car to move back and forth from through ownership. The current set up as a black aero 991c2s and then later a retro style with Ducktail and different wheels wether BBS LM, a Rotiform Fuc, other Fuch and so forth.

That said, in the current set up where aerokit left untouched looking for possible wheel options as will be swapping out the wheels currently on the car. (currently has beautiful 20's light weight champion wheels in black) I have always done black wheels but never owned a black car. Black on black can llok great but just not for me....which has left me IMO with a more difficult decision.

I have considered all kinds and styles but haven't found that one wheel I want. I would like the car in this set up to look like a factory oem like wheel if possilbe. If aftermarket than a wheel I can add a Porsche center cap to and will not look too aftermarket like. (if that makes any sense...)

Love wheel one style (aftermarket but looks like a 997.2 gt3 centerlock) but do not like the idea of buying a wheel that's not known by reputable maker although maker suggest is has passed all these approvals. (just like the design as factory like style)

Wheel two in the 19 Carrera Sport is a wheel I have always liked in style and design with the grey painted centers as seen here. With spacers and right stance these wheels can look great IMO.

Thought about gt3 wheels but I hate a re-badged car that is not what it seems and concerned gt3 wheels could do just that even if center caps swapped out for crest caps not gt3 logo.

Even wheeldynamics has some great looking wheels as seen below....

There is a 19 Boxster spyder wheel which (resembles a 997.2 gt3 like wheel) that has a good look to it but a bit narrow in the rear.

Is there a wheel that maybe out there I am missing? Love some of the 991 S style wheels but they come in 20's and think this maybe just two big at the end of the day...

open to suggestions... I would have zero issue in choosing the right wheel style if car was white or other but being black the options IMO have not be as clear to me as in past cars...
Thanks all

If you are looking at Wheel Dynamics, you should also look at their Fuchs / Sport Classic style wheels. Those are pretty darn sinister on a 997.

Default correct

Can't deny.... but just cant get past black wheels on black car. These do have a polished lip so help break it up. Black wheels in white cars I love, on grey cars also but black on black not sure for me. The picture makes a good case though. Thank you for posting and reply.

The style and color of first wheel posted, mickfluff, make it a winner, because it is ''proven'' to work visually with the Aero Kit (the 997 GT3 rides on similar wheels).

It's a great combo.

Default Thank you

Phil thank you very much for your comment.... I myself keep going back to that wheel as has a factory look and a style I really like. Just wish they were produced by a maker we all knew off.... That is the only thing holding me back from ordering these. Thanks for the feedback.

BBS E88 with gold centers and polished lip. Add a little pop to offset the Blackness.

I've got Victor Zehn 19" rims (8's & 11's) as seen in my Avatar. The image below shows the fronts.

Do love these wheels but less on a black car. On white or silver looks amazing. Even black cars can see many loving them....

Are there wheels out there for the 997 that don't cost 6,000 dollars and look cool?

I like my stock wheels, light, strong, cheap but almost 7 years on the same ones maybe one day some new shoes....

I have the GT3 RS factory wheels and they are heavy but cool and factory. See avatar photo. Wheel Enhancements might have some. That is where these came from.

I'm a fan of option B. I'm still running them on Tom Chan's old car (black 997S w/ GT3 aero. I had them redone in bronze along with the end plates on the RS wing. It looks dead sexy. I can't post the pics for some reason, but I'll send you some if you get me your email. Cheers, -Josh
