Thumbs up 997 Fastener Specification Books Are Printed! Get 10% off this week!

I seldom advertise here, but this one is worth the mention.

I am very happy to release the only directive for fastener (torque) specs for the entire 997! Thats right, not just the engine, we have compiled all the torques for the entire vehicle into one book! This includes 997.1 and 997.2, with M97.01 engines, M97.70 engines, and 9a1/ MA101 (DFI) engines.

This is a 189 page guide that covers the entire vehicle, engine, manual, and tiptronic transaxle, suspension, axles, steering, clutch, wheels, brakes, body, you name it! Models that are covered are all Carrera and Turbo models, and some specific GT3 specs as well, though not the entire GT3 is covered.

The specs for all IMS our IMS related products are also found in this book.

No more looking through workshop manuals for torques that may have been superseded for a decade, no more wondering what each fastener's length or diameter is; its all laid out in order of sub- assembly, through illustrated parts breakdowns, and can be found within seconds! Anyone who has ever looked for torque values for these cars, and engines knows what a challenge this can be, as these are not easy to find at all. With the 997 the factory never released the workshop manual in print form, and this complicates things even further.

For more details see this page on the The Knowledge Gruppe page, and sign up for the December M96/M97 102 Engine Rebuild School while you are there! This is the only enthusiast level engine rebuild school planned for the next year!

The Knowledge Gruppe will be the source for all our resource materials, and classes moving forward.

Order your 997 Fastener Specification Guide here, use promo code "torque10" to receive your 10% Rennlist Discount, good through October 20. The 997 books are in stock, and will ship ASAP, this week!
http://www.theknowledgegruppe.com/in...97-automobile/

Here's a sample of the illustrated parts breakdowns, and torque tables. Books measure 5X7" and fit perfectly into any tool box, or glove box!

Great timing on the promo code as I just added one to my cart this morning, but hadn't checked out yet.

Thanks Jake and a bump for tomorrow.

I just ordered one to compliment a bunch of DIY I have planned. Could you please let me know if you have any plans to produce an e-copy of the manual as well? I'm concerned about keeping up with updates/errata.

Thanks for the orders. You will find these books very comprehensive.

There are no plans to make these digital copies at this time. Changes to torques for these vehicles are pretty much a thing if the past from the factory, since the cars are well out of production now. Changes to values would be very minimal.

You probably couldn't read what it said, anyway!

Sales of the books are going very well, can't wait till people receive their books and the reviews hit the forums.

Just got the book in the mail...very well put together and easy to find what you need. This is a real good source of info for any of us that like to tinker.

+1 The book has all of the torque values that I need for my 997.2. This forum was my best source for torque specs prior to receiving this handy manual.

Just got mine today in the mail. Shipped expediently and well packaged so book arrived with no issues. First impressions:
* The book is the size of the manuals and has nice thick covers (not hard but very nice)
* Seems to cover specifics for all engines (I need the turbo specs)
* All spec'ed bits are presented with diagrams.

I have a bunch of projects planned for the next few weeks, including all fluids(trans/diff/awd/brake), spark plugs, filters, shifter, shifter cables. I'll report details after.

Glad to hear that you received it quickly. The turbo specs are some of the toughest to find without this book.

I am building a Turbo engine as we speak, and I love using my own book to do the job :-)

I just got this book and am a little disappointed- why is it so small?

for anyone with eye sight issues, the text on the diagrams is very tiny. I expected this to be double the size it is, at this price point.

I know lots of hard work went into producing this, and I dont discount that, but the size of it is a let down.
