Dad's 997
This month the PCA Founders Region (Potomac) came out with their monthly issue celebrating the 60th Anniversary of PCA and it asked for readers to contribute with Porsche memories, what got them into the marque and so on. A common theme was the passion being passed on from generation to generation and it hit home for me as I owe my addiction to growing up with a gear head Dad who loved cars and specifically Porsches. I have fond memories of learning how to drive a manual via a Porsche 911 G15 transmission.
My Dad has an impressive collection of air cooled Porsches from 1958 to 1989, but on a visit to see the grandkids about a year ago he drove my car home from Cars & Coffee and I could tell he was hooked. Fast forward to two weeks ago and he visited again with his own 997.2 S Cab. I'm not sure if he'll be a regular here on the board, but I wanted to share the pics of our two cars together.

Great pic and great memories!
My Dad also instilled my love for cars but Porsche love did not come from him but from my own experiences. He and Mom tool around in their 2003 T-Bird with the top down. He loves my 911, and anything cars.

Thanks for the kind words guys. He actually did really well finding the car. Only has 14k miles on it and looks as new. I'm normally not a cab guy but it looks really sharp with the top down!

I agree with the CAA. I'm not a cab guy, but the cab in grey with those wheels looks hot. Both cars do. I love the black but I'm bias.

Awesome I grew up just across Seven Locks Road on the Bethesda side across from Potomac.
I helped my son get a Boxster in Miami from a fellow Rennlister but we'd have to ship one of the two across the Caribbean or photoshop for a family shot!
