Anyone have red side view mirrors on their black 997? Was toying with the idea and could only find pics of the gt3 rs with a similar color scheme. It looks good on that car bc of all the other red accents, but not so sure on my c2s. Anyone with pics? Thx!

I think they'd look good provided you have that same contrasting color elsewhere on the car (such as the bumper air intakes).

Not exactly what you're looking at in terms of color, but I added mirror bottoms in silver to offset my Atas Grey C2S because I also added silver grills upfront.

In terms of red and black, the Mini Cooper JCW Black-Red combo looks great, typically with red mirrors, reg air intakes and a red roof.

I think you'd need additional red accents to tie them in, like red stripe around the wheel or red wheels, maybe red seatbelts, red calipers, etc. By themselves I think they'd stand out too much.

I do the mirror's on my cars. Maybe even just one. It's my thing.

Someone recently had a thread where they did exactly this mod. I think they plasti-dipped the mirrors and some other items on the car just to see what it would look like painted. I have to say, I thought it looked pretty trailer-park but I tend to go for the more subtle mods.

If I saw red mirrors on a black car and the mirrors were the only red item, my first thought would be that something had happened to the car's mirrors and the owner had replaced them with mirrors he got off of a red car in a salvage yard.

I agree with Petza on this one. The mirrors by themselves would just stand out. You'd need some other red accents to move it from a mistake to a theme.

Definitely would stand out too much if the whole mirror is red and the rest are stock.

I have the Black w/ Red theme going for a while, and when it was stock, I did red for the mirror's lower arm, front air fin, wheel pinstripe, and the S badge.

Thx for the feedback yall! I would love to get a gt3 style center air intake surround in red but can't fine one! I guess I'll just need to hold off for now!
