11 years ago I get a 2nd home in florida. My neighbor has an owned from new 99 C2 cab, silver/ black, manual. The Car was pristine, garaged, seldom used, 11k miles. I advised him that when he is done with it I want first shot at it. Fast forward 10 years to 2015 ( I had several other sports cars and a cayenne). I was tired of waiting to get a 911. After inquiring yet again about selling the 911 with no expectation in sight. I start my search for a 911, knowing that within 30 days after buying a 911 from a third party, my neighbor will decide to sell. So I proceed with my search and find a beautiful 2007 911 C2 cab with 24k in the clock at porsche of south shore on LI, NY. ( I had purchased my 2013 cayenne from them. Great guys.) Arctic grey/ slate interior, tip. I buy the car in april 2015 and love it. In July, slightly past the expected 30 day call, the neighbor is ready to sell. The car has 14k miles at this point. I made a deal and bought it. I now have 2 911s and could not be happier. The wife drives the 997 tip and I drive the 996 manual. The tip is used for going out as I can drive there, have a drink and my wife ( non drinker) drive home. Happiness is 2 911s, one of each flavor, and a cayenne for a DD. ps. No ims or rms issues.

Gorgeous slate grey cab. I actually really like the look with the roof up - hunkered down look. So any early thoughts on differences between the 997 and 996? The 996 sounds like a beauty too.

Great little stable. But what color is the -07? You say "arctic grey" which I never heard of and somebody else says slate grey. The car looks black to me or possibly atlas grey.

The 07 isAtlas Grey with slate grey interior. Here is the 99. I am reserving comment on handeling until I have a chance to do a back to back test on the same roads. The 99 was a florida car while the 07 was a New York car. The difference is miles on the rough roads of NY. The 99 generally feels tighter. In Acceleration they seem similar, the 07 is tip and the 99 manual.
