Default New to me 997.2 4 GTS Introductions

Had a 964 for more than 12 years and spent most of my spare time learning from the kind folks on the 964 board.
Today I purchased 997.2 4GTS. Hope to learn a lot about my new to me 997.2 like I did on the 964 forum.
So my new CPO (32 month warrantied car) 2012 997.2 Carrera 4GTS. The warranty was the deciding factor for me. I really like the idea of having + 2 1/2 warranty.
It has every option that I wanted right down colours. Couldn't be more happy:
Meteor Grey Metallic on Full Black Leather interior with Alcantara inserts; PASM, PDK, auto mirrors, center lock black wheels, dynamic cornering lights, Sport Corno +, Extended Nav Module, Bose, SAT Radio, Sport Exhaust, and original window sales post. Might have missed a few but at this point its just a sweet ride no mater what options.
Only spent a half hour in the drivers seat and knew I had to have it.

I want to order the perfect car cover for it, Which one should I order? Indoor or Outdoor, Loved the one that came with my 964. Hope I can find one similar.

Also would like to get 997.2 owners opinion on Durametric software. Does one need to go to the professional version to make it worth while and allow for custom coding? I am familiar with VSDS (VAGCOM), I assume Durametric is similar. Please tell me your opinions.

I know I will have lots of questions to ask the veteran 997 owners. Never had a car with Metallic paint before, I hope it is as easy to care for as GP White was.

Pictures to follow maybe Monday or Tuesday when they have it detailed and ready to pick up.
Can't wait.

Cheers
Walt

Congratulations. You have good reason to be stoked. Just told my wife yesterday that I'll be keeping my GTS for a while. She didn't even acknowledge since I've said that before but never kept a car for more than 2 1/2 years. But I mean it this time. It's such a great package that I'm not drawn to anything else at this point. That includes the 991 which I have exactly zero interest in.

Forget Durametric Pro and coding with 997.2.

It does not work.

Been there, done that and sold the damn cable.

Regards,

CF

Congrats! 997.2 GTS is a compelling package. They seem to do well in recent popularity polls, too:

Enjoy the new car. Look forward to photos.

I just tried the Comfort Windows coding on a dealer PIWIS yesterday. No go. Frustrating.

Congrats! Great choice. The level of AWD grip will surprise you. Reading the threads on CL wheels will help pass the time while you await delivery!
