Beautiful car. Congratulations. I usually trade every 2 or 3 years but between the 991 and the next all turbo models I may drive my GTS till the wheels fall off. It's such a great package and the thought of not getting something newer and different doesn't bother me one bit for the first time.

Congrats on the car. I track with a guy that runs a 2011 GTS its a nice car, however, I'm not sure if there are any additonal tips/advantages that a GTS has over other P Cars that are at a DE event. Tires are tires, pads are pads, pick what you like...etc.

On the other hand, we were chatting it up with a guy in a 2015 GTS, white with a GTS interior package. The car was gorgeous. I'm normally a black car kind of guy but this GTS was very classy. They guy was 75 and an ex-racer. I told him I wanted to buy his car in a few years.....

There was a discussion about this a couple of years ago. If my Swiss Cheese brain remembers properly, it turns out to be a $4K plus job (if you do not do it yourself) to convert CL to lugs.

Thanks again everyone!

Quick update on the car-

The car is at the dealer getting a spare key programmed as it only came with one, hopefully the blank comes in tomorrow. I want them to disable any other duplicates while they have the car.
Following the info found here, I just ordered some centerlock 18" wheels from Tire Rack and some Toyo R888's from a buddy of mine in the tire biz. I am a TPMS vendor on the Evo forums so I have those covered, you guys have the TPMS thing easy, Mitsubishi ECU's can only handle one set of sensors, if you run more than one wheel set it gets complicated.
Just earlier today I received a some goodies from Suncoast - some black stone guards and a new keychain (LOL) - gotta bling up that spare key.

Things that are on my to do /get list:

I still have to decide what brake pads to throw on the car as the ones on it are low. I will continue to dig through the brake pad threads before I make up my mind.
I also have to order a blendmount for my Passport Radar.

Also, there was an addition to the owners' manual regarding center lock wheel maintenance.

Yes, I forgot to mention that. I tried to order from ToolTopia but they were out of stock so I ordered it from Amazon, it should be here Monday.

The procedure and cost is actually a 'sticky thread' on the 997 GT3 forum.

In my case it is a moot point, I don't plan on swapping out the hubs. The few modifications that I will do to this car will be easily reversible. The most extreme thing that I am planning on is some sort of wing insert for track use. I will only do the insert because it is a quick switch back to OEM. I am looking at the M A Shaw and the Getty, going by some threads on the forum they seem to be one and the same. If you look at the photos on the Getty sight some are the same as the M A Shaw ones, just mirror image reversed.

Great looking GTS Santi! I have nearly the same car but with the manual. I have just returned from a two day HPDE and my car performed beautifully on stock wheels and street tires. Keep us posted on how the wheel and tire swap goes as I am considering the same mods...

I just got back from my second Autox event in two weeks - I am really falling in love with this car, it is sooooo well balanced. At my first event with the car I was really timid, I was really concerned with all the hype about the car swapping ends on rear to front weight transfer so I took it easy until I had a couple of runs on it. By the end of the day I was mad at myself for being to delicate with the car. The car is so well balanced and so easy to catch in an oversteer condition that I couldn't wait until the next event. Fast forward a week to this past Sunday where I had a chance to get the car slipping again, I wish I had a picture of the smile under my helmet! Now it is all about seat time in this thing, trying to figure out the limits of grip on it. It is a totally different animal than my Evo is, the Evo relies on its 480 + WHP and massive boost punch to move around quickly, the GTS is all about carrying speed into the turns.
