1979 supercharged 928 Spyder (convertible) is my current project that should be finished up this summer and will become more of my DD unless the weather is really crappy
That S6 is sweet. I had a quick look at your link, and the headers are cool. Must be piles of work. How're the running costs on that thing? I wish they brought more 'fast' Avants here though, I would love a B7 RS4 Avant, they generally look much better than the sedans.
My other cars are in my sig.
Noting the other poster about how boring his B8 A4 was to drive - I feel the same about my old B6! But, it serves its purpose as a winter driver for me, and can't complain much about that.

Thanks! Yeah, the headers were definitely a lot of work. There is so little room to work with, that everything had to be tried and tested for fitment, over and over again. The guys told me they had to raise and lower the drivetrain in and out of the car, something like 80 times to keep checking fitment. Pretty crazy.
I can't really say about running costs, as the car has been in the shop since I purchased it last summer. The plan was always to tear it all apart, and develop performance parts for the car. So far, the aftermarket stuff with labor has exceeded the cost of the car. But to a certain extent, that is what I expected.
Aside from the performance stuff, we are replacing all the parts prone to failure along the way. So, hopefully the running costs will be relatively low, after the project is complete.
I absolutely love Avants, and totally agree with you about them bringing more to North America (especially the incredible RS4 Avant!). They look better than the sedans and are just so amazingly functional. It hurt to give up my C5 S6.
But, if anything, Audi is cutting back on the Avants in NA. We are more likely to see more A7s/Panameras, and maybe the A5 sportback, then real Avants, I think.
2010 Volvo V50, AWD- 6speed manual. 100k miles = great winter beater/ski mobile etc... mine has all the toys but I picked it up with 90k miles on it so it was super cheap. love it-great milage, fun to drive and awesome in the snow.
