Sorry to hear, maybe time to get a new set. There is always a risk when you buy 3rd party parts, you need to be prepared for taking the loss and moving on.

I have a set of after-market LED fog & tail lights on my car and if they die on me then so be it.

Sean, I got my smoke Dectane replacements installaed so the red & clear ones are now available for sale if you're still interested. I'll do $450 shipped with a 30 day from delivery no error codes guarantee on them (you'd pay insured return freight only). When I removed them, I bench tested every circuit in both lights with a 12v battery and also tested the resistors - everything works as it should. Here are some pics of them cleaned up - anything that looks like a crack or scractch is a reflection and the fragine corners are perfect. They're packed in the OEM packaging that my new ones arrived in from Germany.

Here's a shot of the new ones on the car and some close-ups of the removed ones.

I'll give you until Monday before listing them in the Marketplace at $475. Let me know.

I returned to my antique non-LED tail lights, pulling out the ROT Tecs. With them so unreliable, there is no point in replacing them with same. I have actually gotten to like the original look again. I left the front ROT Tecs in but am searching my attic and garage for those as well.
Sadly, I don't think anyone who sells these things cares for a minute about whether they hold up or not. It took me over 8 months to get a replacement for a ROT Tec replacement for the front. They just don't really care. Once they have your cash they are gone--sort of like a roofer in Oklahoma a week after a hail storm...

LOL

FWIW, even though I'm a big fan of LED tail lights in general, like you, I really like the original non-LED 997 tail lights. I much prefer them to the 997.2 LEDs and I dont think I'm willing to deal with the hassles of going with one of these aftermarket LED tail lights. Just too many problems reported, on a part that is key to vehicle operation and passenger safety.

I think the Depo LED tail lights for the 997.1 look nice. The clear set look especially nice.

That being said, I removed mine and went back to OE tail lights. I went with the solid red tail lights and I'm very happy.
