I could go back and pull the Vin #s but I'm fairly positive these are 997 values. Pretty sure the 991 C4S was introduced as a MY13 model.

I would love to do that but my ceiling is only 9 ft, a little too low

Are you married to the girl you took to Prom in the vette? I would say it was your first time getting some but that is not happening in a Corvette. Just don't get the emotional attachment. Hell I barely even remember the girl I took to prom and I did get to go on the ride. I certainly don't want her in my garage.
Anyway, my 911 sits outside in the winter as my wife gets the garage. I put a cover on it and it is just fine. Ideal? No, but it doesn't seem like you are going to get rid of your vette so throw a cover on it and call it a day.

Based on your $67k today price, if he put 0 miles on it the price would appreciate about 7-10% by this time next year...

You won't be able to find a single '12 C4S with sub-40k mileage listed at that price in all of the U.S.

But I think it's worth ~$35k myself and would be happy to make it a smooth transaction!

Why not just store the vette until you have more garage space?

Take it for a spin every so often, keep it covered and on blocks, then you get to keep the car for its nostalgic value but drive the Porsche....

The New 911 (991) was introduced as model year 2012 while there were also 997's produced as model year 2012 too. Pretty goofy IMHO, you'd think would have just introduced it as an early '13...

991 C2 and C2S models were introduced in 2012. 991 C4 and C4s debuted in 2013

Edit: typo fixed. I originally said the C4 models were introduced in 2014, but meant 2013.

The Mercedes gets the garage and the Porsche gets left outside? You are very very nice.

Happy wife happy life. She takes the kids to school until late October when my daughter will be able to drive. I drive my Wagoneer in the winter when it's ugly out otherwise drive my 911.

  1. Buy one of these for the Corvette & leave it outside - http://carcapsule.com/outdoor-carcapsule/
  2. Cut a hole in the ceiling of the garage and have the 997 up on a lift where it enters the living quarters as a show-piece when you're not driving it
  3. Move to a house with appropriate garage space for a car guy

Obviously only 1 of these was meant to be a valid suggestion
