Yes you can manually select anything you want on the phone, and also use the Tranzit's control button with a quick press to switch to the next song on Spotify or Pandora.
The control button has a self-stick on the back. I mounted mine on the silver trim piece under the cluster on the right under the gas guage/water temp dial. I can't really see the button behind the wiper stalk but I can find it even in the dark.
You mean find an open harness connector under the dash that just happens to have an ignition-hot and a ground and fits the Tranzit's connector? Highly doubtful. It's just two tiny wires. No need to cut the car's wiring to splice, just strip about 1/16" of insulation in the middle. I like it soldered so it can't vibrate loose but that's just my OCD
The one to the radio. There was a red hot wire but that one is always on, but there is also a thinner white one that is only on with the key in the ignition. It has a delay after the key is removed of about 20 seconds before it goes cold, but that isn't a problem. Then there was a brown wire which is ground.
I´m from germany, new to the reenlist-forum, driving a 997.1 turbo (PCM 2.1) and have just read your posts about the Tranzit system. Thanks I have already a bluetooth system (Motorola IHF1000) installed, but it can´t stream audio , so I really want to get the Tranzit system. A few questions are left:
- Do I need the antenna adapter?
- Can anyone give me a direct link to a shop, where I can place my order?
