I think this is all a bunch of nonsense.

Here are some starter bits:
In combination with PDK, the Sport Chrono Package has two additional functions for a sporty drive that borders on a motorsport experience. The first is ‘Launch Control’, which can be used on the track to achieve the best possible standing start – a racing start.
The second function is the ‘motorsport-derived gearshift strategy’. Using this, Porsche Doppelkupplung (PDK) is geared up for extremely short shift times and optimum shift points for the maximum acceleration available. This combination of uncompromising and involving performance is ideal for the racetrack.
A key component of the Sport Chrono Package is the stopwatch mounted on the dashboard. In conjunction with optional PCM, a special performance display enables you to view, store and evaluate lap times or other driving times. It shows the total driving time, lap distance, lap number and lap times recorded so far.
I think a barely competent attorney could show a judge that Porsche was encouraging racetrack driving. That is quite different from using the car as a racing vehicle; i.e., for competition. I don't blame Porsche for not wanting to finance a racing team (other than their own).

You don't own a Porsche to impress a bunch of bozos at the country club.

If you take delivery at Leipzig, the delivery of your new Porsche includes track time in a demo car. And, those demo cars are routinely sold as CPOs. That's just one (very solid) piece of evidence that Porsche condones DEs, track time and spirited driving under controlled conditions. There are numerous other pieces of evidence, and no mention in the manual that track use is forbidden.

As mentioned earlier by one sage Rennlister above, any decent lawyer would make short work of Porsche for denying warranty.

Who here has first-hand actual evidence to offer up? Not the "my brother's best friend's Uncle was denied warranty" kind of info, but real it-happened-to-me knowledge?
